Lâm Đồng Arabica

$22.00 USD

As the world's largest producer of Robusta, Vietnam is not generally known for their specialty Arabica. Here at Chau Coffee, we're trying to highlight the farmers, cooperatives, and producers in Vietnam that are changing the narrative on the quality of coffee that comes from Vietnam.

This coffee was cultivated and produced in Lâm Đồng, located south of the Central Highlands, best known for its provincial capital of Đà Lạt City. Lâm Đồng is known for their Arabica cultivation, with an altitude of +1,500 meters above sea level. Coffee grown at Gaia farms are shade-grown and/or semi-shade grown to preserve biodiversity and minimize the risk of deforestation and soil degradation.

Gaia Farms love experimenting with post-harvest production processes, and these beans go through the "Honey" process, which is a more modern, hybrid method between a fully-washed (wet) process and a natural (dry) method, combining the best characteristics of both to produce a heavier-bodied, sweet-tasting, yet still complex cup of coffee.

This coffee is roasted medium and has a nice body for an espresso brew, where you'll taste warm spices, a silky milk chocolate texture, and a subtle hint of green apple.  We hope you enjoy!
